Yes, grapes do grow in Prince George!
Valiant is delicious to eat and can also be used to make wine. These plants are cuttings from the vine in my backyard which has produced fruit for the last three years. You can find out lots more about this variety with a quick Google search.
For 2020 we also have 3 varieties from Arrow Lakes Vineyard: Vandal Cliche, Marechal Joffre, and St. Croix. We are not sure how these varieties will perform in our more northern climate. If you want a proven winner go with Valient. Otherwise, these are a good opportunity to try to get something exceptional. These vines are 1-year old (rooted in 2019) and will have survived one of the coldest PG winters in recent memory.
